A 12-year-old Somerset County boy was vacationing with his family in Wildwood in August of 2019 when he was attacked and severely injured by a pit bull on the beach.  As a result of the incident, the boy suffered catatrophic injuries to his nose and face that will require multiple corrective surgeries.  The case is currently under investigation, as the owner of the pit bull is apparently uninsured.
